Dowling Erdely Casting was formed in 2008 by Shakyra Dowling and Kristina Erdely. As casting directors they initially worked on short films and theatre then went on to cast award winning director: Szabolcs Hajdu’s feature film Biblioteque Pascal. The film and their casting on it was greatly received and won many awards at prestigious festivals and was nominated for a Best foreign Film Oscar. Shakyra and Kristina have been asked back to cast Hajdu's next feature Mirage that is currently in production.
Dowling Erdely Casting have worked on a number of high profile projects including Verity’s Summer (lead actress India Barbe-Wilson was awarded Best Actress at the 2012 London Independent Film Festival), The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed out the Window and Disappeared for Disney Nordic, Judas Ghost and most recently the TV film Open Desert for SAT1.
